Fantasy+ 3
Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 12:07PM What seems like a long time ago, I was contacted about participating in a book being produced in China featuring the very best in hand-painted fantasy illustration. I'm not entirely sure why I was picked among the myriad of talented folks out there, but I'm grateful to have been included. In late July, I recieved my copy of this book and I am blown away. The book is called Fantasy+ 3: The Best Hand-Painted Illustrations and clocks in at 192 pages with 200 images. My own section is somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 pages, has 12 images, and an interview. Details about the book can be found here: Cypi Press. Some more images and a video of someone silently flipping through the book can be found here: Parka Blogs. Parka Blogs also includes a complete list of the artists included, as well as links to each of their websites. I highly encourage you to check it out!
To be sure, I am honored to be among the names in this book. I also appreciate the hard work then went into the book's production - it's a beautiful volume and I'm blown away by its quality. At present, the only way I know to get your hands on an English copy is to download the pdf orderform from Cype Press and go through them. I imagine, however, that it will be available from the likes of Amazon sometime in the near future, as both of its predecessors are.
Anyway, I'll have some new work coming soon, as well as the details for my next appearance in Bochum, Germany! Stay tuned...
