Bit of a mistake, really. In the time gone, I did a Magic event in St. Louis, Missouri, another Magic event in Columbus, Ohio, and IlluxCon in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Public appearance-wise, I'm finished for the year. But don't worry, I've already got a Magic event lined up for January and I've committed to doing Spectrum Live 2.

In many ways the six months that have passed since the last news blurb have dragged on, but in most ways they have flown by. Over the course of those months, things have been frustrating at times and wonderful at others. I feel like I'm in the midst of some sort of transition and I've spent a lot of time trying to get used to my new home... but I feel like I could say the very same thing about the last three years.

Anyway, there's really no news to speak of, only plans. I plan to give this site a facelift in the coming months. I plan to get that large personal piece done. I plan to do another personal piece after that. Hopefully these plans come together. In the meantime, I hope all you folks out there have a Happy Thanksgiving, and I'll be sure to update with details of the aforementioned events (and any others that pop up), as soon as the details are solidified.

Spectrum Live's Over and St. Louis Show Details

I heard over and over again that Spectrum Live was the source of a great deal of stress for so many illustrators in the weeks prior. For me, it was no different. Then in the blink of an eye, I was headed home. The speed at which the show approached was alarming and that it passed on by even faster left my head spinning. The verdict? I had a good time, and got to see many faces — some familiar, some not so, and a few that had been clouded by the haze of a decade or two. Still, the grind that met me upon my return was daunting and I'm now trying desperately to catch up before the next trip.

As mentioned in the post below, my next appearance has me visiting the complete other side of Missouri. This time, there won't be any epic car ride. No, I'm heading to St. Louis via plane. An airplane. Will modernity never cease to amaze?

Anyway, I've finally managed to pin down the pertinent details:

June 2-3, Dan Scott and I will be the artist guests at the World Magic Cup Qualifiers, which will be held at the Saint Charles Convention Center, located in St. Charles, Missouri. Okay, so maybe I won't be in St. Louis. Anyway, Dan and I will be showing our work, signing cards, selling our wares and will hopefully be generally entertaining. At least to each other. We're art geeks, that's how we roll. All the details for the event can be found at this handy website: link.

As for me, I need to get back to painting.
So, that's all for appearances lined up in the near future. I do have IlluxCon coming up toward the end of the year, but I'll update everyone on that one once we're a bit closer. Aside from that, I think it's worth mentioning that the gallery will likely be getting a bit of a revamp in the near future. Some old stuff will be sent to retire, and some new stuff will finally be put up, so stay tuned for that.

Finally, it's worth noting that until recently, I've pretty much only accepted PayPal, cash, and the occassional personal check for payment for prints, proofs and original art. That has changed. I now accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. If nothing else, people interested in picking something up now have more options, and the whole shebang should be a lot more convenient. When the larger gallery update happens, I'll likely be posting that information in the contacts page, as well.

Well, back to work!

On the Road Again.
July 8-10 I will be appearing at Connecticon in Hartford, Connecticut. I know little about other guests at the moment, but in the meantime, you can check out the website here: link.
